Portillos Beef & Cheddar Croissant

It definitely all started with this, the finest of sandwiches. More on that story soon.

Outrageous Click-bait I Refuse to Read

America's Sandwich Problem Apple News link to an article titled The American Diet Has a Sandwich Problem at the Wall Street Journal. I refuse to read that article on principle of course as it is obviously trying to manipulate me with some sensationalized bullshit that stokes fear. You know, or whatever it actually says. From the image the only problem I see is that the sandwich needs more ingredients. Slap some mayo, mustard, lettuce, and tomato on there and maybe shut up.

Someone told me the article was saying the quality of the ingredients was poor, but I'm sticking to my principled stance of not reading it at all.

Big Sandwiches for All!

My friends and I in Chicago would get together on the first Tuesday of every month (or was it the last Tuesday?) and eat big sandwiches so we called it Big Sandwich Tuesday. But really any day of the week can be big sandwich Tuesday.

These days I'm thinking about writing about Fried Chicken Sandwiches, but really the important idea here is that sandwiches are good. Notions to the contrary have no place here and will be ridiculed. This is a pro-sandwich website.
